These past few weeks have been jam-packed. I feel as though my life at the moment is this crazy, chaotic puppy that I've been told to look after by some well-meaning adult. I have some control (let's say I'm still holding the leash) but it's pulling me around not the other way around. In some ways I feel productive but in other ways I'm overwhelmed with the looming mountain of the future and things "yet-to-do". I've got so much organising and preparation to do before leaving (in three weeks - yikes!) yet with the constant backpack of essays and speeches, I haven't had the head space to do so.
In saying that, I had a wonderful mind-clearing day at my cousins, whose backyard blends into the bush. Every time I visit I make a comment on how "the air feels so much better here" and I'm sure they think I'm loony. We took a walk down to the waterfall and I even managed to attract a leech. Lovely.
It was also my sister's birthday party on the weekend and I wore a go-to, simple black and white outfit paired with some long socks (prepping for Japan haha). I went rollerskating for a little and even took out my polaroid which I haven't done in a while.
A fairly long read post to day, though per usual there are other things I should be doing. Ah well, I have my priorities straight...
